Looking for new wheels for my 2004 Phaeton.

I bought a V8 but hate the stock wheels.

Not that I can afford one, but as a VW driver, I would love to know what people think of this car. It has been out for over a year (right?). I think I have only seen one on the road, and I have always thought it was curious that VW made these cars instead of investing in something more worthwhile for typical VW drivers -- such as a hybrid.

Thanks

vw bult the car as a gift tto the out the out going MD, it is sead that he gave the engeners a list of over 100 things that the car should do, including at 120kph the cabin noise should not be more than 20db. and that the cabin should heat up in no less than 3 1/2 mins ect . ect .
as a result 50% of the engenaers walked out.
I have driven the car in the uk with v!0 V6 and the super coolv W12 and there great to drive, but there oners tell a verry difrent story ind i have yet to meet one that is not trying to back it to wv ( since oct 2003 i have seen 50 phaeton drivers )

phaeton

i have a v6 petrol, a quality car. My neighbour with a CLK looks on in envy. The car is smooth, drives well, is comfortable and fast enough. I have driven the v10 and that is a classy, powerful machine

Have the stock wheels, the others are tacky

I deleted the photoshopps and put in a few photos of my new wheels. Hope you like them. I'm getting VW emblems for the center caps. :-)

Re: Looking for a used 2004 Phaeton. Anyone?

I'm in love with this car! Summer tires are terriffic! Oversized ones even better. These Bentley wheels came with 275 40ZR 19 105XL Pirelli Rossos. Stock was 255 45 18 Michelins. The car is on rails. It's simply amazing how much better it handles. With the wider tires, the sidewalls only went down to 4.4 inches from 4.5 inches stock, so ride comfort stayed great and I still have good rim protection from pot holes. The tread is 11 inches wide.
