Angry Car cranks but won't start

95 cavalier was running great stop at store for about 20 min's , tried to start car but no start, cranks over ok but will not start. Now not sure if this is related but believe it is about a month ago I start smelling gas fumes specially when running heater. Doe's anybody have a idea what the problem could be

Do you have spark? The smell could be from a bad pressure regulator.

You will need to follow the fuel flow to see where it stops. You may need a fuel pump, or filter. If these are fine you may need a oil sending unit. If this unit goes bad the ignition module will sut off the fuel injectors. Good Luck.

Ok thanks for the replys,But here is where I stand now.Had it Towed home went out two days later car started right up,so to be safe I changed Fual filter, air filter put fual injector cleaner and dry gas in tank drove car for over a week and a half no problems,started this morning drove 1 mile to store came out try to start same thing won't start.
I do have a question if I turn key on should I always hear Fuel pump kick on ? because right now I done.

yeah,when you turn the key to the on position the pump should run for like 2-seconds. sounds like maybe fuel pump relay is going bad,check that 1st,if thats it its a pretty cheap fix..

Hey there I had the same problem with my sunfire.. go out and again 20 mins later it would start. It was a problem in the ignition. I got the ignition replaced and it was expensive. over 500$.
