As stated in the title, the car will not move with the shifter in any position execpt "D" drive. This was only accomplished after I removed the connection to the TCC. With the TCC connected the car will not move.
The part that confuses me is that the car did not offer any warnings/symptoms that the trans was on it's way out. The car was driving normal, I drove it to a friends house appr 6 miles away. Visited for 2 hours, got appr 500ft down the road, at 25 the car acted like it downshifted hard, slowed to about 20, I accelerated harder with noticeable motor strain to about 45. Drove less than a mile to the stop sign, as I decelerated to 25 the hard downshift happened again, I stopped at the sign and the car refused to move. It acted like I was doing a brake torque. Towed it home.
No matter what gear is selected the car acts like I am doing a brake torque and the motor will not rev past 2500rpm (give or take 500 rpm). This accurs in Park and Neutral as well. If I remove the TCC Plug I can get the car to move forward when the shift lever is in the "D" Drive position only Reverse L1 and L2 show no change. It moves although very strained. I must use an excessive amount of gas to get it to move.
Recent (appr. 45 days) trans filter and fluid change. No abnormal color or smell from old fluid.
My wish is that this problem has something to do with the TCC or the VSS. My worst case fear is that the torque converter is shot.
If you have read this far, thank you. Unfortunatly No Codes come back other than normal 12 and no service engine light on dash. Any suggestions or ideas on how I can eliminate the sensors as the problem or figure out wich one is the problem?
