Thank you for your reply.
Unfortunately for me the trans is in bad shape. After my first post here I went back outside and kept messing around with the car trying different things.
With the TCC unplugged I was unable to get the car to go into reverse 1st or 2nd. Something was obviously hung up in the trans, probably third gear hung partially. I attempted to blow the trans completely figuring what can I lose. So I did a few neutral slams with the engine reving as fast as it would go (about 2500rpm). I repeated this going from neutral to Drive about 5 times and all of a sudden something let loose. Now the car drives perfect in reverse and 1st gear only, 2nd and Drive slip horribly bad.
Final verdict, trans is shot. The fluid is now burnt and smells bad. I can get the car up to normal cruise speeds (55mph) if I start in 1st up to about 35mph, let off on the gas a little to let it shift to second then give it gas until I get to 55mph and then put the shift lever into Drive. As long as I do this everything seems fine except a horrible vibration comming from the tranny.
Thanks anyway.
