condensation/damp trunk

My fiance has a 97 accord se, 2-door, sunroof...and the trunk has been damp but there is no water standing in the bottom where the spare tire is. Today when i opened the trunk lid i noticed condensation all over the underside of it. i think the wettness is just from this condensation dripping onto the spare tire cover. What could be causing this?

I also have some 18" graphite konig holes wrapped in 215/35/18 toyo proxe fz4's from my 4th gen prelude for sale if anyone is interested. I live in Missouri if anyone is close. thanx

Re: condensation/damp trunk

You might have a tail light gasket leaking. Look for wet carpet or water under the carpet. If it is wet on one side but not the other, check that light. On the 90-92s, the seals between the light fixture and the body were leakers. There is also a tube that runs from the back of the sunroof channel to the wheelwell. It may be broken, dislodged, whatever.
