hey why are 1g gsxs so much ligher than 2g gsxs? 500 lbs about

i thought the the weight difference was bigger, as you said around 500lbs, but autotrader say that is only 27lbs ligher:confused:

2gs are heavier bcu those years came with lots of options, especially the Automatic DSMs. the ones i see up here in minnesota gots every option, power everything. also, every AWD car is heavy. 1g are lighter prolly becuz of what the car is made of, aluminum metal and all the other sorts of metal of the car. i dunno, but im pretty sure the 1g is lighter bcuz it had less options compared to the 2gs. im pretty sure theres ALOT more why 2gs are heavier than 1gs

go to msn.autos.com and they should have the factory weights...but yea i mean if tyou look at the 1g and the 2g, the 2g is obviously fatter and bigger than the 1g

and check at the dimensions of the car, you are not going to find to many differences, not even with the 3g

are the wieghts you guys are finding the actual curb weight or are they the GVWR Gross Vehicle Weight Rating, which is the max weight the car can weigh

i dont know if the 1g come with all leather seats also but those seats are 40lbs a peice so that is part of the reason, and the hood i swear that is at least 40lbs and that is under est.

Oh well i wasnt trying to refute your source or anything i was just providing another source he might want to look at :wink: ....I never even compared msn and autotrader specifications.

no i was comparing mikes car. and it says his car was built by mistu as a race car or somthing i donno im to lazy to read it agian. so it wasnt a street legal dsm from the get go so im sure they didnt put alot of hte bullshit on it that they do the normal ones
