Yes and No or should I say No and Yes.

No it will not make it any easier to import the previous models into the States.

Yes, if they make it into that bastard child of a model then I (along with other's I guess) will pay the high price to have an R34 imported in and converted over.

At best it may get MotoRex to bring their prices down some or maybe others will also start importing the older Skylines.

If the 'skyline' will be sold in America, Motorex will more than likely not be able to import the Jap versions anymore. All they'll be able to get are the ones they are now. Besides, they can't even get you a new car anyways because of stupid laws, the cars have to be at least 2yrs old to be made legal.

Well if the cars have to be at least 2 yrs old before they can legalize it. Why can't they get more if Nissan brings the R35 to the States?!

Just because Nissan brings the Skyline to the State's doesn't mean that MotoRex can't bring in the older models. Before Honda/Acura brought the Type R models to the States there were importers that sold them and charged an arm and a leg.

At best (for us) it should at least bring the prices down.

I dont think that it will do much for the prices of the older cars, mainly because motorex will still have a monopoly of the older skyline market so they can charge whatever they want.

well, thier initial cost was alot because they had to modify, then crash tes and emmisions test a couple of thier cars, so that was about 200k in skylines used only for testing. then they have to ship each one, thats a couple grand per car. But still they are making about 30k per car when they sell them in the us.
