Gas tank/indicatorAeromen 12-02-2004, 10:52 AM I have a 1998 C230. Occasionally the gas tank eject the filling house with the tank 3/4 full. I mentioned it to the dealer service supervisor but they could not give me a good answer. The tank was almost empty and the warning yellow light was on, when I filled the tank the Indicator still on empty and the light still on. It goes to fill and returned to empty. Can anyone answer the two q's. This car has 50k miles and I do most labor myself. Thanks josiebaby 12-04-2004, 12:42 PM I have a 1998 C230. The tank senders are on TOP of the fuel tank. 1. Take off the covers for the senders 2. Remove the fuel return hose 3. Pump out the fuel 4. Disconnect the hoses for the fuel pump 5. Replace senders and refit everything Aeromen 12-13-2004, 08:14 AM Sorry I lied, I just noticed it's a W202 you've got. The tank senders are on TOP of the fuel tank. 1.
