Clutch..?

(99 cavy 5 speed manual 2.2l)

When letting off the clutch to accelerate, same when I am putting it into reverse the cluthc comes out so far and when it starts to bite the clutch presses up on my foot and makes me peel out or stall out, every time.

I am sort of getting use to it, but I would like to know if there is anything I could do to fix this short of a new clutch.

if you are un sure that they recall has been taken care of take it to a chevy dealer an they can check for you - they just punch in ur (VIN) Vehicle Identification Number an it says if your car was serviced for the recalls - it is totally free because when there is a safety recall they have to do it or if something happens u can start a lawsuit towards them if u take it somewhere an they dont do it an u get in an accident because of the problem..

Re: Clutch..?

i had the same problem with my 97 5 speed with a 2.2... i bled the clutch system and never had the problem again. if you dont know where to find the clutch bleeder, look on the right side of your motor right where the shifter pawl is... the bleeder is right in front of it
