My searches for exhaust on this car was a real bare. Headers are the hard ones to find. I called Powertech to see if their headers fit, and they told me yes. When you look beyond them, there really isn't anything, besides a header for an EX. I read another forum describing how LX and DX were designed for luxury only. I want to try to make performance out of this car since I can't afford to get an EX or SI. Is there really any way to get nice headers for my car?

Honestly bro its not worth it. Its alot of money and doesnt give you any gains 1-2 HP if that. The aftermarket header is basiclaly the same size as stock. Also on the Lx/Dx civics the header and cat are built together which is the major difference in the EX. Which means if you replace your header you have to get an aftermarket cat as well. Just not worth it. Spend your money somewhere else get an i/e or some nice rimz and suspension. No point trying ot make your car fast cause bottom line is......it wont be.

I have a 01 LX and the header issue does suck cause i looked and looked also but had no luck dawg, but i did manage to find and install a short ram intake and as far as exhaust, i got 2 and a half piping done and fitted it with a nice japanese muffler, so my honda at least sounds better, hp wise, i gained a few, but that's better than nothing, later dawg
