Question Radio AM Receiption Static

Have a 2002 325xi with standard radio and CD in-dash player. From the first day I picked up the car (over 3 months ago) I got static Radio receiption on all AM stations. FM Receiption and CD player are static free. The dealership has replaced 1) the digital antenna, 2) the entire radio, and 3) the coax cables running between the antenna and the radio, but the static remains. They claim that this is just happening in my car and is not across-the-board with their 2002 325xi series. HELP! Are there any other 325xi owners out there that are having this problem??? If so, what are you / have you done to resolve?? Is this a bigger problem then they are letting on?? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

AM out according to dealer

My local dealer has told me that the areials in BMW's have been optimised for FM reception only! Apparently they only use FM in Europe.

I my view I don't know why they hold onto AM bands, FM is far better anyway.
It is a bit like Cassette vs Compact Disc.
Only my view though.
