hole in ac linejackmalone2001 11-23-2004, 09:49 PM I had a hole in the aluminum line from my AC evaporator and replaced the pipe from a junk yard donor...I was told that if the evaporator is exposed to air it will fail...anybody know if this is actually the case or can I recharge the now hole-less sytem with refridgerant and be cool as a cucumber on the road? what do you think? This component will not fail merely because it was exposed to air.
