drop my super

i recently bought a wonderful '74 super beetle. perfect condition for fixin up right. i want drastically to drop my bug. i dont know if i should dish out the ungodly amount of money to airbag it or if i can get a beautiful drop out of drop struts and im guessing drop springs for the rear. any ideas anyone has on where to find a nice set-up would be greatly appreciated.

Re: drop my super

Unfortunately I am replying WAY too late but just in case you still check back and in case anyone else reads this here goes:

Top Line parts has EVERYTHING you need to drop the front of a super beetle. Drop struts, shock inserts, and all the little misc. pats you would need. I bouhgt some from another company and they fell apart in less than a year and had to replace them, I chose Top Line the second time and have had years of uneventful driving. They also have some very special (expensive) struts that allow you to lower the front AND add wide 17 inch wheels and tires! Way Cool! go check out their website, it's all there.

As far as lowering the back goes, you can do that yourself but is kinda invloved. Readjusting the spring plates is not for the faint of heart. I've done it a couple of times and always get WAY dirty and bust my knuckes everytime.
