91 Mazda & Some Needed Advice

folks, I'm not familiar with the Mazda but my daughter's 91 Mazda, 626, has a heater that kind of "works when it wants to" in regard to the fan. Sometimes it goes on, sometimes not. Sounds like an obvious electrical issue but anyone who has suggestion where to start looking, I sure would appreciate it. It's going to be getting pretty cold up here in Buffalo, NY shortly. thanks, larry
