try using 3M tape, that should do the trick, you may wanna apply some epoxy to the backs of the tape so it holds better.

i was about to post the same thing, rather than doing that im just gonna ask my question on here. I am going to purchase a wings west big mouth full kit for my accord come may or june, and i was wondering what i should use to mount it? i am having my whole car repainted metallic silver and the kit painted also and mounting it myself.

i think screws are a must
i don't think i'd want my bodykit "bolted on" by tape

You can use a combination of screws and the rivets that Honda puts the bumpers on with from the factory.

Re: wings west tape?

Does the Type-W Touring require tape? I thought since it was just lips/skirts it would bolt on where the stock ones were?

Check the Wings West website, they have the wonderful little feature.. will give instructions on how to prep the Ureathane ofor paint, and how to install the kit on your car...look around, you should find it...it's under "tech information" look up the PN first, and copy it. Then go to tech info...enter your car...nothing will come up probably, but it will give you a chance then to enter the PN...enter it, instructions should come up. If it's a real wings west kit, it should come with all the neccasary mounting hardware, and the parts should be stamped on the backside with a very visable "wings west" logo.

I am guessing your car is a 94 Accord from your sn...here the instructions are inf it's a 2 door for that kit

http://www.wingswest.com/pdf/94%2D97...2DR%20BM%2Epdf

Here they are for a 4 door
http://www.wingswest.com/pdf/94%2D97...th%20kit%2Epdf

Here is the Urethane prep instructions
http://www.wingswest.com/pdf/URETHANEPREPPAINTINST.pdf

This is a link to a page with links to surface prep and paint videos.
http://www.wingswest.com/techInfo.asp

I hope this helps a bit.

Re: wings west tape?

yeah it should bolt up to the factory holes....as far as the other kits discussed on here i am in unison..3M super adheasive tape is the shitnit..but for vehicle getting repainted lightly countersink sheet metel screws and cover over with filler to maximize a good hold, you dont want a section of panel blowing at 90mph ...and always remember when using screws, rivits etc...only apply in places where body flex is minimal and use sparingly..your kit needs to be able to flex some..otherwise it can crack under hard driving stress...such as what you hear about when cars ahve been molded
