Holy carbon fiber Batman!

Well... I finally finished a project instead of just stopping randomly, so here it is. a completely carbon fiber WRX. EVEN the dash is carbon fiber! Although it's probably impossible to notice, but i really did put carbon on it. hehe. I originally was gonna brush an insane body kit and stuff, but i figured i would test my carbon fiber skills, i think it came out pretty good... I also don't think I've ever chopped a car THAT low before... But yeah, C&C appreciated! And I included a full size version so you could see all of the detail.

smaller version (still big, sorry)

Full size version (link cause it's huge)

Guys. Please look at his in FULL (the link) the little one doesn't show enough..
It's beautiful! The last chop I've seen as a full CF was neo a long time ago and then Zed tryed it (without success, sorry Zed)
But this is well done as dosn't look so fish scaley as some do, Maybe a bit shiney but looks great! I'm sure lots of efforet went in to that and thanks for sharing it here.

Re: Holy carbon fiber Batman!

Thanks Stingray. Yeah... A lot of people just take one giant layer of the body and slap carbon over it... I actually select individual parts and put them on different layers, i.e. front door on one, side skirt on another, and then add carbon. this way it doesn't just look like all of the weave is the same, cause it's unrealistic like that. And yes, a lot of effort... About 4-5 hours worth.

Re: Holy carbon fiber Batman!

its ok some off it looks wrong like the front arch and the round section above th headlight but its an overall good job

ive done a few CF cars i use displacement maps to get good effects i would probably work well on this car

Re: Holy carbon fiber Batman!

not off the top of my head

id have to try it myself to see whats happening and then id just play with it to see if i can fix it

but try changing the car colour contrast and brightness before you do the displacement mapping
