I would really like to encourage all you girlies to get involved..And all you guys to get them involved.
My boyfriend is a VW Freak...I am glad for that because it has introduced me to the VW and their Owners.
I always said that I would never owned a VW...Then my boyfriend conviced me to buy one. Now I am Addicted!!

There's probably about a dozen or so on vortex that pop up every here and there, many of them are fairly new..
I like seeing women in the sport, adds a more complete atmosphere
I have a female friend that's very much into dubs and hopefully will be buying a new Jetta..

I do have to say my girl is very much into the VW scene going to every show last year with me and hanging out till all hours at Waterfest and Club H2O International. She loves the VWs and all she is waiting for is the next cabrio to come out with the Hardtop Option and she will be right in the mix. As for posting on the sites, she doesn't even bother getting online to check her regular email, so she would be weeks behind on the forums...

i'm one of those few girls on the vortex, i guess... anyhoo--i'd say there are a lot of female jetta 2.0 "enthusiasts" if they dare be called enthusiasts... not to diminish the value of owning a dub, though!
...come on girls, learn 5-spd.

Hey Esther.. That wasn't nice. I am also one of the other girls from Vortex that found my way to this fourm. I have a Jetta "2.0", but I wouldn't say that my "enthusiam" is any less faulted by the engine I have. I am way overally obsessed with VWs, one of very few girls where I live. This is my first VW and hopefully next time around, I'll do it "right" by getting the 1.8T. Nothing takin personal *e, just a 'lil "butthurt" by that comment. See ya around girly.

We need more Female VW Enthusiasts!
Hey...
I'm very glad that more and more females are into and were into the whole automotive scene before I was... Because I find females into the whole performance tuning scene with VWs, very appealing...
And I've met a lot of girls with Jettas lately and I was wondering what the automotiveforum girls prefer ? The Jetta or the Golf ? Just curious ?
Anyway... Come on!!! We're all waiting for more FEMALES to join the forum!!!
PEACE:smoker2: :grey: :sun: :bandit:

hello i'm addicted to cars i have an 89 Civic hybrid. i know water-cooled owners hate us. my man is a huge air cooled fan...which got me interested. i have a '68 type 3 project car i'm currently working on.
i recently met a friend who had no idea what she could do with her jetta. you'll probably see me asking a million newbie questions, i look forward to finding all the info i can to help her build a dream car :jump:

ack!!
omg i'm back, i don't even remember posting on here! i looked at the date of my last post and it was literally after i just got my car!
anyhoo, tish, here's my sincere apologies about my comment 1 year ago. i got a bit big-headed and a lil' too excited, from what it sounds like. i reread my post and can't believe i said that. anyhoo, i hadn't met you and you know i think your car is dope. what i meant about the other 2.0 female drivers and how they are different from you is that they are not into their cars as you are. they basically drive 'em around stock... stock is good ... for them, but like i said, they are not enthusiasts.
about the auto--i am hating LA and its traffic so my opinion has totally changed from a year ago.
anyhoo, girl, i luv u and please understand my post was totally outdated and is nothing like how i think now. your car looks so much better than mine anyway...that speaks for itself.
luvluvluv,
*e

woohoo for VW enthusiasts. I wish there were more chicks! cause we rock!
just a side note---
does anyone know if I can get a 3 pod pillar for a 97 Jetta? I've been told that they don't make one, and I've been told they do. I really want one, cause I'm putting a turbo on my GT, and I need the gauges.
thanks!!!

Who said the ladies don't rep!!!
I have nothin but good s**t to say about my Jetta...when I went to the dealer the first time...(the nerve) the sales dude didn't think I couldn't handle the VR6...I was like please! it's a Jetta not an M5...anyway, fell in love with the car...made others fall in love as well...I still have her and I love the power...the funniest thing is that I wasn't into the racer scene at all (and I still ain't)...but I would get these geeks on the road challenging me all the time (especially when I first got her...I had the car in Dec 99...and it was the first year it was out...most people didn't even have the VR6)...it was always some guy in a base model civic with something to prove...what a joke...they couldn't even keep up...I love the get up too...some 1.8 aters...were talkin crap about how they thought the 1.8 was better...PLEASE...on top of the better torque and engine...the 1.8 doesn't come with all the amenities...just cuz you raced one person who probably didn't even care don't mean you gotta hate!!! Go into the dealer...and spend the extra G to get a 6...:finger:
