Lighting

Hey,
I am trying to add some different light to a 2002 celica and there isn't anyone where I am that knows anything about it. Can anyone help me out, I want to add washer nozzle lights, tag screw lights, fog lights, and the gauge lights but I want them all to match. That means I will have to change the radio/air lights unless someone knows where I can find all those add ons in green. Thanks for your time.

Most of those lights are very ricey. Those windshield nozzel lights are gay as hell and will only get you pulled over. Spend the money on real parts. Headlights and foglights would be ok.

I wish I could give you some helpfull advice but I just dont know about "vanity parts" (to put it nicely). Sorry if I came off badly but I was just trying to give some good advice....or just my opinion I guess. Its just that I was pulled over and harassed this week for WAY less "noticable" violations. I got about half dozen fix-it tickets out of it and I dont have anything flashy on my car. No show, all go. But they can write tickets for anything they want and the kinds of flashy mods you are looking to do are just going to scream "pull me over!". Just lookin out for other tuners.

Well, I understand what you are saying. They are pretty laid back about the windshield nozzle lights where I am. And the Headlights I am having a hard time with because I am trying to find street legal ones. And the other things are on the inside of the car purely cosmetic concerns. Thanks for the reply though better than most. I am beginning to wonder why I got a celica, mods are extremely difficult to find out about.

No prob. As far as headlights Id look for some ION bulbs like PIAAs. A tru ION bulb is legal, just not the "hyperwhite" or any other knock offs that are just blue coated halogen bulbs. Those are bad. You shouldnt have too hard a time finding legal bulbs. And anything that says "for off road use only" is not legal.

I know Celicas arent easy to mod, but isnt that what makes them fun? But if you end up with a custom modded Celica you can take alot more pride in it than if you had a decked-out, dime-a-dozen Civic.
