stumped big timewillnate 11-13-2004, 09:06 PM need help now .been at it to long and its getting cold out.ok i have a 1983 s-10 pickup ,2.8 4 speed.over 125,00 heres whats up first i had no trouble with it then bamm.it caused me hell. i drove about 10 miles died like out of gas. ok start it run alittle stop.finally got home and then went to work on it. changed fuel pump ,filter, coil. cleaned ot carbed was really dirty. put in plugs ,wires, whew enough huh nope did all this in two weeks because till i get home its dark not fun doing it by a hanging light.ok sry back to it well i mget in amd start it it fires up right away put is missing big time, looked under hood and the coil is arcing around the coil not the mounts. so exchanged it for another new. put on and same thing.check motor its grounded got power to all plugs. need help thanks guys OverBoardProject 11-13-2004, 09:34 PM Check the plug gap if you haven't, Other than that I don't know what would cause the arching.
