2002 s10 transmission

Does anybody know what manuel transmission the 2002 zq8 s10 4.3l has in it??
I'm looking into buying a hurst shifter for my truck but the hurst shifter is for the 1998-2001 s10 with the New Venture 3500 Transmission - Trans. Code 466. Is this the same trans. i have or did gm change the trans after 2001

Re: 2002 s10 transmission

According to my 2002 S-10 service manual:
"The New Venture Gear NV 3500 is a 5 speed manual transmission used on light duty trucks with the 4.3L engine. The NV 3500 is identified by RPO M50 and RPO MG5. The difference between the RPO codes is the first speed gear ratios that the transmission has. The shift assembly design inside the NV 3500 transmission installed on C/K trucks is different than the NV 3500 transmissions installed in smaller S/T trucks. The distance between the input shaft and countershaft is 85 mm (0.132 in). The transmission is available in rear wheel drive and four wheel drive."
4.3L = NV 3500
2.2L = NV 1500
