Project CFG Thirty-Five...

O this is a fun one

Stock body Infiniti 2004 G35:

Carbon Fiber frontal replacement:

It isnt the prettiest car I've ever done... But the objective of the project was to replace every panel and exterior accessory, that could possibly be done, be replaced with a carbon fiber component.

Headlights, hood, fenders, fascia, lip, doors, rear valence, rear view mirrors... Everything.

One thing is for sure... That was a damn tough chop.

What you guys think?

Lately I've noctice a few people that have learned somthing new will go WAY overboard with it, and YOU SIR have set a new benchmark!
Seriously though, why not start out somthing simple like a hood, prerfect it, and work towards more.. Thats to much too fast!
IMHO CF in genaral is not atractive at all but gives points to a chop if done right because of difficuty and the pros will see good wrork right off.
Just freindly advise.

Re: Project CFG Thirty-Five...

Why do that when you can go WAY overboard, and completely break convention

Like I said... Not the prettiest thing I've ever done, but its just an experiment. Apperently a failed one

Advice taken, and put into consideration. Thanks

-Wes

I beg to differ. I think the CF looks real good. The only thing is maybe the twirl is a bit too much.

And you did NOT set the record for most CF or going overboard. See below:

Re: Project CFG Thirty-Five...

It is real nice looking. I know I have said it a lot, but you may want to shrink your pattern even more. I was just comparing the two, and I think that would help.

Cant wait for the next one!

Re: Project CFG Thirty-Five...

Yea I didnt relize the patern was too big until I was half way through... So I figure I would just stay consistant with it and see how it turned out.

Wait no longer... New thread. "G7"

Thanks for the input.

Re: Project CFG Thirty-Five...

I think you should redo that but just do the bonet like the reare vision mirrors that would be better.
And Kusmace theres way too much carbon for me and its too dark but the vinyl is cool!

Re: Project CFG Thirty-Five...

Yea dude, that would have been much easier... But thats not what I was going for in this project.

[quote=ZedEx]But the objective of the project was to replace every panel and exterior accessory, that could possibly be done, be replaced with a carbon fiber component.[/ZedEx]

Its all in layers, so all I would have to do is a few clicks, and I can take away anything I dont like... So it wouldnt be tough.
