While driving on the highway the gas pedal fell off. I pulled on the cable that was left to idle the vehicle home. The entire bracket fell off and I was advised by Ford if they fixed it they would have to total the vehicle since it required going into the firewall. They then recommended I have it welded back on at an auto body shop. Has this ever happened to anyone else?
