How are the early 90's gsx's in autocross and other racing situations. People have told me they are fast and can be made to be faster easily. I'm not as much concerned about that as i am handling. How do they handle. It seems like the fastest 4 wheel drive car in my price range. 3-4000 $. i drive a 240 now and want something with better handling that wont always slide on me.

From what I hear (I don't drive a GSX.. yet).. the AWD handles very well. Not to mention it has the speed to back it up.

the only problem with running a turbo DSM in autocross is that there's very little you can safely do to it and not run in Street Mod class (unlimited 4-seat street car class)

Well how is stock for autocross? And what stock class does it put you in if any of you autocross. I would go as far as stx class i dont want to go into sm class. Ive seen the cars and drivers in that class. I want a good car that doesnt need to much to compete in its class. Right now i am in sts class with my 240 and a strut bar. I get whooped by the awd subaru's and others.

the AWD DSM is in D-stock (same as WRX and type R), you can't do much to a DSM and keep it in STX, because of a fuel issue I think. basically you have alot less power than all the other cars in STX.

another thing i was looking at pictures and the whole dash looks ugly. Maybe its better in person. I like the mid 90's interior but not enough money for that and insurance is prolly high.
