Guys my 95 GS has some stone racing headers on it and a bomex body kit which means it has the place to put a DUAL exhaust if I wanted one. However, I have heard that generally this not only adds weight but reduces power at the same time. So lets say I forget looks and just go with a single exhaust which brand would you guys say is the best?
And if your thinking well it depends what type of sound I'm looking for ideally I'd like to get the meanest "muscle car" sound that I could if thats even possible. BUT being that this is only a 4 cylinder DOHC engine if theres no exhaust system that will give me that muscle kind of sound and I'm gonna be stuck with that winny sound most import cars have again what do you guys find is the best exhaust manufacturer? thanks

Sounds like it's just for sound and a little performance gain.

Well if I went with the dual exhaust it would be mainly for looks and sound, but if Im gonna go with a single exhaust I'd want a good sound with a lil performance gain aswell. And currently I don't have a turbo but possibly in the very later future it might happen in which case it would only help if I put on an exhaust system now. peace

go to a local exhaust shop, have them bend up some 2.5 pipe and put a muffler on that. no sense in spending 400 on an exhaust you can get for 200. talk to the guy's there about what muffler makes what kind of sound.

Ya there really is no sense in paying that much money. Just pick out your muffler and go to a muffler shop and have them bend the pipes for you.

I have a question too; Vince i went to Meineke and asked them if they could bend me some 3' for my gst. They said that they didnt and that they couldnt bend the 3' piping. WTF??? Where else should i check?
