Im building a gsr motor. i got what i need for the bottom end (forged pistons, rods,etc. no sleeves just a block guard), the head is staying stock for now. I have a t3 garret turbo setup (blowoff valve,fmu,35mm wastegate,intercooler and boost controller.) Now, ive done research and heard stories on fmu's (basically keep the boost low). I want to upgrade my fuel management but this is what i got for now. Is that good enough for starters. i have jdm gsr injectors. also i got a sci msd ignition. and blaster coil. any advice will help. :icon16:

if you spent this much money on your build up already, why not just spend the extra money on the standalone?

im going to get something better but this is what i got for now. is what i have risky on my motor?

i personally would have gone with the standalone first instead of the internals if i wasnt going to be boosting much.

I boosted a B16@12psi on stock internals and a dyno tuned hondata unit for 2+ years. No problems here.

You should be fine, just watch what you are boosting till you get a standalone unit.

Hondata. Word im gonna shop for that. Everyone is pissy about fmu

that system should be good for your car as long as you keep at realistic boost levels...you dont "have" to have a stand alone but if you wont to get anywhere above 10-12 psi i would recommend it
