Re: Damp back seat
As mentioned above, alot of times the taillight gaskets will crumble or begin to let moisture thru. This generally results in water being collected in the spare tire compartment, since its the lowest sitting area in the trunk. As the car is driven and thru daily stop & go driving, the water normally sloshes out of the spare tire compartment and into the rear seat floors.
Check your spare tire compartment for dampness / water and either replace the taillight gaskets or do the RTV silicone trick.
