Greetings everyone I am new to this forum and I want to thank all of you for the good information you've been posting about the Contour. I have a problem that I hope someone can help me with. Is there a trick to removing the rotors? I lost the inner pad in my front right wheel. The rotor was destroyed. Now I can't get it removed. I tried a 3-claw wheel puller and it broke a piece of the rotor off. I rotated the 3-claw puller from the broken piece and tried it again with no luck. All I accomplished was stripping the threads of the puller. I've been heating the rotor with a torch and hitting it with a 3-lbs hammer with no luck. I am afraid to cause damage to the front wheel drive sys. Are there any tricks to it? Thanks!
sounds like your rotor is rusted solid to the hub. Perhaps try prying them apart with a pickle fork and a hammer.

Thanks for the reply. I'll give it a try and go from there. I asked a shop nearby how much to finish the job. They quoted me $125. If I can't get it out as you suggested, I think I may just take it to the shop. Thanks again and have a great day.
Thanks for the reply. You were correct. That was the only way it came out. I didn't do it myself. I ended up taking it to a shop. I was afraid to damage something in the drive train if I hit it too hard. I think the trick was the heating. Thanks!
