engine swapMyChemicalRomance 11-05-2004, 08:34 AM i want to get more power for my 87 crx but i dont know what engine to put in it could you guys and girls help me out?? lxndr 11-05-2004, 01:47 PM If you have an SI you're ahead of the game because an '86-'87 Integra D16A1 will pretty much drop right in, or you can use an '88-'89 D16A1 if you are willing to do some electrical modifications. If your car is not an SI you will also need a donor ECU and wiring harness, or you will need to fabricate a carb manifold. Also, Hasport has a kit that will allow you to swap in any B-series motor. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=199192 http://www.hasport.com/Products/Mounts.htm KrisSmithRocks 11-05-2004, 01:59 PM I'm in the process of swapping in a DOHC ZC. I think that bang for buck and the ease of the swap that's the way to go. It requires some wiring mods but other than that it should bold in where any d block fits but all the mounts don't work so if you feel like you need to you can add the additional mounts that are on the later years but all the mounts that are on the car line up but there are only one. There's an extra tranny mount and an extra block mount on the new ones but all of your cars existing mounts line up with mounts on the motor, although you will need a new computer and some other stuff. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7931868105&category=33615&sspagename=WDVW This is the guy i baught mine from and i'm happy with it. revhalzoo 11-21-2004, 08:37 AM i have a ZC in my 87 Si, it is quick, and its a pretty straightforward swap. if you want to check out ZCs and ask questions go to www.thezcr.com jacob93510 11-22-2004, 02:39 AM I have a '99 Civic HX and i want to swap it to something that I can do something with what should I use and what will fit It is also a coupe Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
