you think gen3 carbon fiber altezza's are rice

But I don't think they're rice.

Yep, pretty much all of those damn cheap altezzas are rice and tasteless. Red/clears and s-type taillights for me. :)

now if you think about red/clears and s-type tails are "rice" too according to your definition of them. Altezzas werent meant for our cars, neither were red/clears or s-types. so if you want to be fully correct, the only tails you can have on your car without being considered ricey(even though the term really doesnt apply) are stock tails.


Rice - Claiming, writing, showing something that you dont have.
Ex. Dohc Vtec Sticker on Civic LX

i think that rice is way overused and now many people dont know the true definition so they claim anything and everything done to a car that they do not approve of as "rice". bullshit

the altezzas can be put on a car tastefully. if everything matches, they can look good. like i love the clear altezzas on a red car. and carbon fiber on a dark car. but i just hate it when someone does nothing to their car and their only mod are altezzas. that is soooo tacky to me!!

I like the CF alteezas those are the only ones i like. I HATE all the other ones.

j/p by the way hows the car coming along? Are you like "done" with it or you got some new things up your sleeve for the new year? Going to make it to Daytona Beach SBN or Carlise PA ?

Plans? Hmmm, none really that are set in stone. I have alot of ideas, but none I've really settled with yet. As far as exterior, I'm getting sick of looking at the same car. I might do a conversion. Might get a full CF front end S14 conversion. Always liked the S2000 tail lights. My dash still isnt CF yet either :) Still need more power under the hood too. As far as being done... other art majors like me could relate to this... An art peice is never finished. I gets to a point where theres a nice balance, but theres no such thing as done :) Oh, and theres suspension work too :D and re-doing my system is probably the next thing I'm going to take care off.

And as far as me saying "every one that knows me, knows that..." its cuz the people that do know me, know that I wouldnt think twice about pissing on a car with atlezzas :D Figured I'd spare the new members that knowledge.

i just put c/f tail lights on my white 00 civic. and i really dont care if they look rice because it is my car and i like them, so thats all that matters.:finger:

Altezzas are rice. and to whoever said red/clears werent meant for our cars either, mine came with red/clears from the factory. Im sure you knew this though, i just felt like being difficult

i said that and i stated that if your car didnt come with the red/clears then you cant go around bashing the peeps that put on altezzas, its just hypocritical.

I thought the true definition of rice was all show and no go, making others think your car is fast and having stickers to back it up. To me, it doesn't matter if you're all show and no go, because I'm the same way. I only care about my car looking good because I've faced the fact that my car isn't fast and never was meant to be. I could make it fast...o yes I could, but that would involve an insane amount of money that I could save to buy a fast car. I'm just gonna keep this good looking civic forever because it's reliable as hell. This is just my opinion and my regrets are out to anyone I may have offended. Sorry for ranting on like that.

i don't think they look rice... but it depends on the car too. people have to know when to stop. :sun:

you can have a good looking car that isnt fast and it is still not rice. My friends slammed hatch with an authentic buddyclub kit and mirror tint looks damn awesome, but it still isnt that fast? is that ricey?
