Hey ya, I just got a 93 civic coupe, and I was wondering if I could make it look like a bmw? The reason why I ask is because I saw pimp my ride and they made a 91 ford and gave it a bmw look. If its possible how would I go about it any tips would be appreciated

Man, if you are wanting it to look LIKE a BMW, you're into more than bodykit land. You'l need a headlight and tailight conversion to boot....using genuine BMW headlights and tailights.

Trust us, by the time your done with the purchuse of the BMW headlights, taillights, the body kit, the paying for the tail AND headlight conversion, white the kit is being installed and fitted FOR the conversion, then paiting it....that a HECK of a lot of $$...A good portion of the way towards a nice used mid 90's BMW at least.

A lot of that work is the conversions, you'd want to talk to a bodyy shop that does that kind of work. Custom body work can be very spendy stuff. Before it's all said and done, you should evaluate your options and decide why you are doing this, what your reasons are, what the prices for each stage and the end cost is, and then finally, is it worth the price.

Sure, it's possible to make your car resemble a BMW with headlight, tailight conversions and custom body kit/bumper fitments. Just so you know, this won't be cheap buy any means. Converisons and custom fitting or the wrong bumpers is SERIOUS custom work and WILL COST A LOT OF MONEY.

Be perpared to spend a lot of $$ and have the car down for some serious time.

if ya got it, flaunt it is a funny thing to say in this case... that guy had money, and chose to make a civic look like a bmw instead of buying a bmw... sounds a little odd to me

My point to the guy was that it CAN be done, but it's not a matter of "a little advice. It's A LOT of custom body work. Most people new to the scene do not realize how expensive good custom bodywork really is. It will NOT be cheap, though as I said he can do it...headlight and taillight conversions, fitting the wrong bumpers on the car, etc. Most people ask "how can I do this," then go and have a heart attack when they hear the costs of all the custom body work you want. If he wants it bad enough, sure he can...but he's going to pay. Paying that much for custom bodywork is pointless IMO unles you are going to be showing the car.

As the pics showed...that car was CLEARLY BEING SHOWED, and that was obviously a lot of body work, taillight and headlight conversions, fitting the wrong fiberglass bumpers and skirts on the car, etc...blending it all. As I said, NOT CHEAP. Be prepared to spend a lot and have the car in the shop for a conisderable amount of downtime. If you really want to, have at it. As I said, taillight and headlight conversions, and custom fitting the wrong fiberglass bumpers to the car, lots of expensive custom body work. Make ure to see examples of work from the place you choose. You DO NOTT want to have CRAPPY custom work done.

I could do a headlight and taillight conversion, with a little help from my welder friend and my uncle who does body work, at least I think I can, We have like 3 car in our backyard with no engines and all ugly, theres engine blocks, engine heads, camshafts, rods, and pistons laying around everywhere. I'm going to try to take one of the car's head lights and put it on the other one. I'm planning on cutting the space for the new headlights with a plasma cutter, then making custom mounts with scrap metal, the just molding the new headlights in with fiberglass, if I ever do this, I'll post it up as soon as I can.
