Lightbulb rear window switch

Hi,

my 94 passat rear windows cannot be opened by door switches for ages , recently even the dash mount switch failed too. i could hear "dak dak " noise but no movements.

would anyone know where i can obtain a new dash-mounted rear left+right elect window switch? ( one switch with 2 buttons for rear left and right)
many thanks
mac

Re: rear window switch

If you hear the noise at the windows it's most likely a problem inside the door, motor or regulator.

Re: rear window switch

Le tme get this straight, it works fine with one switch but the motor makes noise without moving the window with the other switch?

Re: rear window switch

So no switch will make the rear window move & the noise is back at the motor. Then you have to go in & find the problem. Non-specific instructions: There should be some screws at the handle (possibly hidden) & possibly around the perimeter. The panel is held on to the door by clips at the sides & bottom, pop the panel outward then lift the top up over the window channel lip.

Hi,
i opened the panel and saw socket and wires , what should look for , where is the motor or circuit that controls the window?
thanks

Re: rear window switch

Plug it up & try it, find what's making the noise. That should piont you in the right direction.
