anyone had problems with the radio leds going out on 2002 grandam gt. center led works one on left and right are out cant read display. dealer says need complete new radio which seems a little extreme to me for just the leds being out.
If you know anything about electronics I would just take the radio apart and look for the faulty leds and replace them. You'll need a steady hand to solder the leads to the board though. Seems odd that they are burnt out though, considering the car is barely 2yrs old.
May be easiest to replace it with one from a salvage yard. If you do, make sure they remove electronics and store them inside, otherwise you'll end up with another junk radio.
