Hey i just bought new chrome valve covers and gaskets, but my neighbor just told me that putting the gaskets on is very hard. is this true? anyone have any tips? or is it just basically put the gasket on then the valve covers?

If this is an 86 or newer motor with centerbolts, use nuttin, just the rubbery valve covers. they should never leak then.

no, you dont have to lube anything. just clean all mating surfaces and then apply some silicone to the gasket and put it back together
