Painting Flat black

I have received a 1968 Impala for FREE!!! I plan on painting it lime green and then have flat black flams across the side of the car. The only problem is im not sure on how to go about shooting the flat black... I need to know if i should shoot the flat black, tape of flames, then shoot lime? Do I clear the flat black (i figured that would make it glossy... but im asking becuz i dont know)? Or should i shoot the lime green and then tape the flames off and shoot the flat black (again the clear coat question is presented, though im sure you clear it). If someone can give me a good, long, clear explination of what i will have to do, that would be greatly appriciated (i havent been to work yet, or i would just ask my boss... we do a lot of "frame off" restorations...). Thanks a lot.

Re: Painting Flat black

Do you know someone that boosts cars? Where are you getting all these cars for free?

Shoot the black, mask, white base, green, clear.
