The dc power outlet on my wifes 97 civic popped out and is just hanging by the wire. I push it back into the hole but there doesn't seem to be anything to hold it in there? Am I missing some kind of clip or something?

Has anyone seen this before? I am talking about the DC power outlet in the dash.

it should have clips to hold it in there.

there should be a plastic clip or a little notch on the actual outlet that snaps into the dash...if its not there then you might need a new outlet...geting it from a junkyard would be the cheapest

There is a ring that screws/clips on from behind, that probably fell or broke off. Too get behind there, take off the plastic armrest thing around the Ebrake with a few phillips screws, and some phillips hold on the plastic panel around the cig lighter.
