Re: Interior Air Filter

its behind the glove box. Not real hard to change. I think you have to remove the gb to get at it. Then you just slide out the carrier for the a/f(s). Its about 8"x8" in size fo the 97-01 or its two individual filters for the 02+.

Re: Interior Air Filter

If you remove the glove box you can see the filter and what needs to be done to change it. There is also a metal brace you have to remove in order to slide out the old filter, not hard, just a bit of a pain.

How do you get that metal brace off. I got off the glove boxeasily, but do you have to take off part of the interior?

Re: Interior Air Filter

It is a pain, mine is a stick shift so taking the center plastic off to get the brace off is a pain. I ended up just carefully bending it out of the way to get the bolts off the cross brace. watch out for air bag wires, and make sure to run fan to check for whistling noise with new filter in place before putting it all back together. filter is about 20 bucks! ouch!

Re: Interior Air Filter

A pain the first time you do it. Then you realize that it is about a 15- 20 minute job the second time.
