I have a 1992 Passat with the fi 2.0 liter gas engine. On the thottle body there is a vacuum hose port. This port points directly to the timing belt cover.

My problem is that this vacuum hose has become disconnected, and I cannot figure out where the other end goes. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Tom.

I have the same issue. I disconneted that line when I put in a new head gasket and cannot figure out where to reconnect it. Right now I have it capped off.

I have a 92 Passat and there are 2 vacumm lines going to the rubber cover of the throttle body. One goes to the air cleaner housing and the other goes to a junction from the brake manifold, engine vacuum area, beside the brake resevoir. My passat was idling really rough until I fixed this problem now it's great.

So I found mine. It was not one of thwo as decribed above, but that did help me isolate it. In my car there are a bunch of vacum lines and wilres wrapped in silver insolation. At the bottom the bunch and out of eyes view was a red tube that. that was where my hose needed to go (I think anyway!!!)

Thanks to all.
