Intake for CivicSiClubhousecrew 10-24-2004, 07:18 PM I need some advice on some Cool Air Intakes for a 2005 Civic Si? Any suggestions Civic_D16Y5 10-24-2004, 11:35 PM where to buy, ebay, install, take off bumper take of ugly black intake and remove o2 sensor and vaccuum tube, put in new intake replace o2 sensor and new vaccuum tube. voila 1-7 hp Beastiek2 10-25-2004, 01:37 PM Yes k20 motors perform best with Injen Intakes. Look online for that brand name. Clubhousecrew 10-25-2004, 09:52 PM What about the AEM V2 cold air intake, is it better than Injen's? And is it worth paying the extra money for the V2 then a regular AEM cold air, or is it just paying more for the sound? producepeteSi 10-25-2004, 09:54 PM AEM V2's do not perform much better than the regular AEM CAI. Go with the Injen if you want a little boost in power. Clubhousecrew 10-26-2004, 01:48 PM Nother question, about the exhaust system on the Si, which should i get? And what size car speakers are in the Si. -The club Clubhousecrew 10-26-2004, 01:49 PM I was thinking of going with DCspots's catback exhaust system, but is there better out there? Beastiek2 10-26-2004, 03:09 PM They all do basically the same thing, but may sound different. I have to say the Invidia full cat exhaust system is the best performance wise and sound wise that I have come accress ( check for this part number INV-HS02HC3GTP ). I have this on my EX as well as a Type R teg. I dont recommend the Greddy EVO2. I have heard good things about the DC SCS system, but have not experienced it first hand. Now to finish your project get a header DC 4-2-1 Ceramic. Clubhousecrew 10-26-2004, 05:19 PM I was at the Injen website, and looking at the intakes like producepetesi advised me to. Would it be wise to go with the RS? or do I not really need that and can stick with the RD? Thanks again for all the guys helping me out - The club Clubhousecrew 10-26-2004, 05:39 PM Also having problems finding parts for an 05 Si, i've sorta come to an assumption that all 03-04 parts will fit the 05, how far back can the part year go for it to fit on an 05? Cause i see no difference in the engine. For example that header you recommended only could find it for an 00 Si..i'll keep searching though GScivic7 10-26-2004, 05:40 PM 99-00 si has a completely different motor. Beastiek2 10-26-2004, 06:07 PM Yes 02+ SI HB parts fit 05 models and the DC header is there 335$ . Clubhousecrew 10-26-2004, 07:11 PM Thanks, that will help alot of searching and strenous work when im trying cause i would be trying to put an 00 part on an 05 :-P And wtf the header i found on DC was 725 lol, but that was off their main website, prbly find it cheaper somewhere else no? Beastiek2 10-26-2004, 07:39 PM Froogle it :bigthumb: Clubhousecrew 10-26-2004, 09:57 PM Does anyone effin know the speaker size's of the 2005 Civic Si! god i can't find it anywhere lol. Clubhousecrew 10-26-2004, 11:41 PM I know im annoying ya guys, but I just don't wana fuck my car up and I want the good equipment. Now for the Clutch, im thinking ATC or clutchmasters Stage 2, any expert hints by all you awesome people ;). - The Club Clubhousecrew 10-27-2004, 12:02 AM What size tubing is on that exhaust The Invidia SUS 304 Exhaust System INV-HS02HC3GTP That ya told me to get. - The Club And also if i would replace the cat as well, think i'd pass emmissions. I sorta got an idea of putting a bypass valve on the exhaust before the cat so when emmissions come up i can switch to the cat, and when im done, switch to no cat :-P GScivic7 10-27-2004, 12:51 AM Does anyone effin know the speaker size's of the 2005 Civic Si! god i can't find it anywhere lol. check www.crutchfield.com just never order from them overpriced bastards. Beastiek2 10-27-2004, 06:07 PM Just get an aftermarket cat, which will pass emissions with out a problem. Mines getting ripped off when the turbo is complete. -What I think you should do is buy some nice Recaro seats for your vic and sell me you stock ones :evillol: JDMHondaFreak 10-28-2004, 06:28 PM My bros got a v2 on his 02 si, and it sounds damn good, i noticed a difference in performance as well, and if you live where you get a lot of rain in, you dont have to worry about sucking in any water ,because it doesnt extend as far as a cold air but produces about the same power gains. mrgibby 11-07-2004, 11:27 PM front speaker hole: 5 1/4" hole, rear 6 x 9 type A mrgibby 11-07-2004, 11:28 PM I already blew out a stock speaker in my 04 Si bought in Sept. oops, to much Lincoln Park. mrgibby 11-07-2004, 11:30 PM err linkin park mrgibby 11-07-2004, 11:36 PM these for example will fit..... oh and this site tells you what will or wont fit..... http://www.cardomain.com/item/POLMMC525?vq_id=none Clubhousecrew 11-17-2004, 11:50 AM Good deal, I already bought some 5 1/4 and 6x9 Rockford Fosgates for my 1996 Honda Accord V6, and i took em out before i sold it. So im glad i don't have to re-buy new speakers ha - The club Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
