Same car, new thread, new probelm. When I turn right I hear a significant grinding noise. seems like it is comming from the wheel area. It will also make the same noise to a much lesser degree when I "coast" up to a stop light.

So, this car had not been driven in a couple of years. After driving it around a bit more the noise seems to be reducing. Maybe some rust (or?) build up on the brakes was the noise. I'll drive it some more and see what happens.

Jack up the front end, put it in gear & see if it sounds like a wheel bearing.

Definitely sounds like a wheel bearing. Try this - when you are at speed, slightly turn the wheel to the left. I'm betting that the grinding sound will subside just a bit. If that happens, I'd bet good money that it is a bearing. I had mine in the shop about 4 months ago with this problem. Luckily, I was barely still in warranty range so it didn't cost me huge.

That is what I think too, but I don't want that to be the case!! My Bently's service manual tells me that the R&R is not something I have the abiltiy to do. Maybe I can pull the axel and take it to a shop.

Anyway I am going to do the test Boschmann recommended, and check out the pads and rotor on that side just in case.

You would have to pull the steering knuckle & take it to a machine shop with a press. They can press the bearing in fairly inexpensively. Remember to mark the position of the steering knuckle to strut bolts (or pull the whole assembly with the strut as rermoving those two bolts will change your alignment. Also leave the ball joint attached to the control arm (seperate it from the knuckle) for the same reason.
