2000 Rodeo Rear Wiper problem

The last couple weeks my rear wiper has been acting up. Sometimes when I turn them on they work fine. I usually just turn it on for a couple seconds though so it does its too passes and turns back off. Well sometimes when I turn it on, nothing happens. A little while later after Ive turned them off, they pop on and do the 2 wipes.

Any ideas??

yup, I have the same problem up front. There are two chips on the alarm board, one for the front delay and one for the back. If you read the info in the link it looks like some have been successful replacing the chip.

I'm having a used board shipped to me from a 99 Rodeo (the guy rolled it) for 30 bucks. I already was successful in removing the old one (for kicks) and reinstalling it. You have to be a bit of a monkey on you your back to get to it. I think the problem with a used or even a new board is that it is going to happen again and again and again. I'm hoping to do a bit of research with my old board to see if I can find a source for the chips (maybe I'll buy a handfull and sell them to folks).

The price for an OEM board is like 212.00. From St Charles I'm sure is under 200 bucks.

If you have a pick and pull near by see if you can find one there first.

Maybe thats why my alarm has never gone off either?? My security light flashes and stuff when the cars locked but the alarm has never gone off and the panic button does nothing.
