hi every one. i am new to these forums but not new to Nissan. i have been driving nissan for a while. i had a 89 240sx which got stolen. like three months ago. but i`ve been driving nissan stanza for a while.
well, my question is this. i want to turbo my 1990 Stanza. the turbo is available that will go for the motor. the pistons r there. intercooler is also available. becuz i have KA24e. on jim wolf technology website they r selling the turbo for this engine. and more stuff. but i think the ecu will be the problem. i am not sure. also i have automatic tranny. wat kind of tranny i can use of if go turbo.
is this turbo possible. has anybody done that. wat kind of modifications do i need.

I really dont know that much about oldschool Nissans but I saw a 1991 Stanza with a SR20DET Motor under the hood. I tried asking him how he swap it, but he wouldn't really answer my question.

You said your Stanza is an automatic? I probably wouldn't bother turboing it. The money you spend getting your Stanza to go fast would cost far more than it would to just buy another 240 and put some money into it instead.

Um im almost positive that the ecu is gonna be a problem i own an 89 and no turbo can be put into it it might be possible with a standard transmission but thats ur job to do the looking up for that

why would the ecu be a problem?

might want to check out http://www.junkyardturbos.com/forum.html for info on setting up a turbo in your stanza.
you can pretty much use a turbo on any engine, just got to do some homework first.
