I need help....Matt Peckham 06-05-2001, 09:23 AM I love the Xterra. www.burntorangedesign.com/xterra I love the Land Rover. www.crossmember.com I want to wheel the Xterra. I want to wheel the Land Rover. My wife wants me to choose between the 2. So now I am thinking... Keep modifying the Xterra. Keep the Land Rover stock. The Rover kicks ass in stock form, the Xterra sorta does. The Xterra is actually cheaper to modify, The Rover is not. The Rover is a great commuter vehicle, when it's nice out, in the rain, it's not. The Xterra is a great commuter vehicle on most days, but those are the same days the wife wants it. So what is a guy to do? I think I am going to keep the Rover stock, and 4wheel it when there are club events.... and modify the Xterra and 4wheel it at Xterra events or any chance I get.... Aquamander 06-05-2001, 09:54 AM Well Matt you're against the wall. I think you should treat yourself and keep throwing money at both trucks until you feel better. I believe that this is the way to achieve 4x4 spiritual bliss. :D As for me, I took the terroristic route to obtain my goals. I had to threaten going on a sexual-strike in order to get the mods I wanted....the next day I just cried until she caved. BTW, I believe a new bedroom suit is in the works. (there goes my bullbar!) hehehe ;) xterra2k 06-05-2001, 11:16 AM Well Matt it sounds like you have it figured out already. You stated that it’s cheaper (relative) to mod the X, which will improve the ability off road. The only issue is that the wife wants to drive it on some days. Count your blessing and share the joy of the X with the wife and prayer that she doesn’t fight you every time you take it off road. Sorry, that’s my own little issue :argue: but now maybe after the tree fell on my X she will be a little less worried about it off road. Don't want to :crying: about it. Synchro 06-05-2001, 02:36 PM you could solve everything quite easily by giving me the rover. it would get excellent care, built up and you can come visit it every once in a while. :D Matt Peckham 06-05-2001, 04:34 PM my dealer, www.skytoprover.com , is working on a Lara Croft version of a 109" military pick up. THAT would be a sweet vehicle. oh yeah, synchro, bloodclot red is out, graphite is in. for when you repaint. Matt Synchro 06-05-2001, 09:02 PM i never knew bloodclot red was "in" in the first place. though i do like graphite. i have been thinking over the past few days that, why would i paint my truck a dark color yet again and show all the scratches? i am not sure what i am going to do, but it is a year or more off so i am not that concerned about it. but i REALLY like the sound of telling people that my truck is "blood clot red" the looks on many peoples face is priceless! :D OffroadX 06-19-2001, 05:25 PM Originally posted by Matt Peckham my dealer, www.skytoprover.com , is working on a Lara Croft version of a 109" military pick up.
