hey whats up people .... i been here for a while but i havn't really been posting so i'll start with this one.... but first let me introduce myself..... my name is ricky.... im 17 when i first made this account it was last summer when i had a honda accord lxi hatch back which was an 89 pretty good only about 120k miles on it.... but someone pulled out in front of me and with the insurance money i brough this 89 mr2, NA... very good shape... no rust spots....only 107 miles on it with new exaust and sideskirts for about 1500.... and its a stick unlike my last car..... :)))))

ast friday i was at my friends' house partying i brough my friend and told him that he is going to be my desanated driver cause he don't drink.......well that day i didn't really get that drunk..... and well after haveing a fight break out and me giveing my speech about how life and the universe got started after the big bang.... it was time for me to leave..... but i wasn't really buzzing anymore..... well that much..... so i could have driven home and i felt perfectly find.... but sence i told my friend he could drive i let him.... and before we got home he asked me if he can drive aroudn town for a while and i said sure.... and we go driving around when all of a sudden this honda desol (nice paint job, orance) pulled up next to us and he passed us and as soon as i saw the spoiler on the back i started laughing and i told my friend to race him..... so he down shifts and we passed him easy.... well we got to a stop ligh and i go dude rev the engin and he goes i plan to.... well he pulled up next to me and starts reving his engin too and i was like hell yeah...... and as soon as the ligh turn green the other car pops the clutch and starts buring out..... and my freind he just sorta pulled farther and farther away from the delsol and i was laughing myy ass off.... and the whole time i was waveing at him out of my window..... it was very fun.... finially we had to turn and went to his house and when i was leaveing i bearly felt any buzzing at all cause of the fight and its be awhile sence drinking and the adrinalin rush made me perfectly sober..... and well he goes.... try looking for that delsol and i was like yeah that be sweet..... so im going down this rd that is just alot of wavey turns.... like a road that is connected by alot of "s" and its a 3 lane that turns in to 4 so im passing this car thats in the middle lane on its left and this van i don;t know what it was but it was quick it just took off on the right side of the rode..... i was supprised cause that van was behind me and it took off like a bat out of hell..... we are at the stop ligh me on the left this brown car (buick) in the middle with the van in on the right..... i start reving my engin and i hear the van reving too.... and we take off..... i start pulling away.... it kept up with me pretty good his nose is near my rear.... and when i shifted in to 2nd (which i don't like doing in this mr2 cause its kinda weird...) like alwasy the shift time is kinda long cause the gear isn't where it should be or something cause its not smoth.... he pulled up next to me but after the gear went in (like 1.5 secs later or so) i gun it some more and i take off.... i won.... and keep in mind that this road has alot of turns and stuff so it was very cool.....welll before i turned left i honked at him and gave him a big thumbs up and said thats a nice van.....

and these races happened when there were no other cars on the road the first one happened at around 2 am and the 2nd one around 3 am..... it was pretty fun the whole way home i had this giant smile on my face which was stratched ear to ear.....

so that nihg i learned something..... del sols are not that fast...... hell vans are faster then them..... in stock form ofcourse..... cause ive seen some fast delsols around here...... well let me say it this way..... riced out delsols are not fast......

The legal limit for anyone under the drinking age (21 in the states and you are 17 therefore underage) is .001 BAC or something ridiculously low. If you've had ANYTHING to drink, you are over the limit. Don't be stupid. If you want to kill yourself fine, but don't go out on the road and endanger other people.

Buzzing or not, if you've had more drinks than is good for you, do not drive....we like to keep all the members we can get, except the liars.

As much as racing is illegal...it is something we can do in confidence. (*I know this can bring mixed emotions or whatever*). It is one of those things that is illegal because something wrong would happen if EVERYBODY was racing. There are many things that are illegal that should be somewhat Legalized. Avalance quiet down lol. However when you mix any part of an intoxication with driving, especially racing, you are not only endagering yourself, but others....
I once saw a EVo8 wreck. Hit a curb when racing, and winded up hitting a pole. It looked bad. I saw the driver get out fine, and a cop pulled up (I was at a lite, and the cop was about a block down radaring. I left it at that since I wasnt going to say "Yea i saw him racing *it was against a TA btw.*" However next day I heard from a freind the story of an evo wrecking with a drunk driver. I knew it was him. I no longer felt angered at seeing a wondeful car get damaged, rather I was happy that it was just his car and not him or a car next to him.

BTW: I may sound older then you with these coments, but I am also 17.

Street Racing may be illegal. Drinking under aged may be illegal. Drinking and driving may be illegal. The first two are fun (well not the underaged part, but drinking is) but when mixed equal a very very very high chance of death or killing someone. Race on clear roads when your not tired and are not under the influence of anything. drink and party (if thats your style, i say screw your liver, save your heart) but stay at the house or have a designated driver. :thumbsup:
