1984 Supra

When you have adjustable cam gears and running
performance cams (GUDE), what is a good degree to set each
cam at? Knowing that when setting the cam either
A (Advanced) or R (Retard) ONE notch equals 2
degrees at the crank!
I've heard 4 degrees advanced for the intake and 4
degrees retard for the exhaust!
Does that mean move the gears two notches to get 4
degrees at the crank or move the gears four
notches to get 8 degrees at the crank? Very
interesting question to be answered! -Greg-

You'll thank me in the end.

Whats the lift and duration on those cams of yours? Are you asking about a 5M-GE?
