Swaybar broken...disconnected?blazzingbrandon 10-10-2004, 03:19 PM I'm not sure if this is a serious problem, because I think I have been driving while its been like this for a while now. Its hard to explain, so please click on this link, I have a picture of the problem here: http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/252927 Brian R. 10-10-2004, 07:42 PM I think you will have to replace the link (vertical bar, 51 ft-lbs) that connects to the stabilizer bar. It looks like it or the stud in the end broke off. There is a stud that fits in the end and fits up throught the hole in the stabilizer bar. You are also missing two bushings and two retainers and a nut (14 ft-lbs) that threads on the stud and hold the stabilizer bar to the link. Your handling will improve alot if you fix this. blazzingbrandon 10-11-2004, 12:34 AM I'm guessing Toyota doesn't sell these parts, I probably have to go to Home Depot or something. Thanks for the reply, I'll give it a try. Brian R. 10-11-2004, 02:14 AM Toyota does sell these parts. blazzingbrandon 10-11-2004, 12:14 PM Do have any idea how much they cost? Would it be cheaper to do it myself? Brian R. 10-11-2004, 04:07 PM It is easy to do yourself, but there is no alternative to buying the parts. Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
