Is there somehow u can tell the difference of a gs rs from a gsx gst by looks? Someone told me to look at the front but o.O i dont see a difference beside the spoiler only.

with stock exhaust, the Turbo models have dual tailpipes and the NA only has 1, if it has 14" rims, then its NA. RS's have no sideskirts.

basic would be took check the gauge cluster. the GST GSX has th b0ost and oil pressure on the left. NA's will have only temp on the left.

The biggest differences are those which were mentioned but also the big wing for the gsx, and gst models, but the gs's can fool you because they have the same rims and wings as the gsx does...but it all varies from year

the n/a spyder can mess you up too tho because it has the dual tips on the exhaust. best way to tell is just turn your stereo down, with the window down and listen to see if it blows off. if its parked then the best way is to look at the gauge cluster and see if it has the boost and oil pressure on the left but, that would only indicate that it turbo. once you establish whether its a turbo or not you can look underneath the car by the back tires and if you see a transfer case there it a gsx, if not a gs-t

or you could easily look on the rear of the car and see if it says "GS-T" or "GSX"

The only problam with that is some people shave off the stickers you know for the sleeper efect. The 95-96 is the hardest to tell i never really seen a 95-96 right next to each other so i coudnt tell u how to tell. The 97-99 turbos have the 5 spoke wheels unless they are aftermarket.

95-96 is the easiest to tell. The body trim (bottom of the bumpers, side skirts) are always gray. Dual tip mufflers is also something to look for. 97-99 have the big spoiler, but the OZ editions also look like turbos too from the outside. Best way to check is to take a peek at the gauge cluster inside the car. Rs/gs have only temp and fuel level, while the turbo models have boost, oil pressure, fuel level, and temp.

the easiest way ive found is to look at the front-right side wheel well to see if theres a side mount intercooler... if theres none its not a turbo.... and for those who have a front mount..... who cant tell theres an intercooler in the front!!!

Or also if your looking head on at a RS or a GST look for this. Look inside the air dams or ducts (forget what they are called) on the GSX or GST You will have your radiator on the right and SMIC on the left. On a GS or RS you should only have a radiator. Other than gauge cluster, the rims....On the 1999 Eclipse GS they have the high rise turbo spoiler. They have OZ Rally rims they are 16" that look almost like the 17" On the GSX. Big giveaway on the rims....either notice that they are 16" or 17" or on the hub of the rims they will say "OZ Edition rally ????" the rest slips me at the minute.

Cheers
Ben

yeah, then the guy comes out and shoots you in the head thinking that you are letting air out of his tire. lol

IS

The big wing thing only works on the later 2Gs. The 95-96 like mine has the low wing. Many non-DSMers think my car is non turbo until I hand them a plate full of thier own ass. The spyder NTs also have the dual tip muffler, but other than that the muffler trick works for 2Gs that still have the stock exhausts.

The 1gs are harder to seperate but I can usually tell by the general look of the car, body trim, wheels, and stickers give it away in a subtle way.
