ElectricalCarlosH1 10-09-2004, 10:41 AM Hello Thank you in advance for any help you can give me, 1989 CHEVROLET TRUCK S10 2WD 4 Cylinders 151 E 2.5L TBI I recently changed the Clutch master cyl and after we were done I picked up a new problem, When I use blinker to go left all is ok, use blinker to go right and I get an Erratic flashing sound and the green arrow will not come on in the dash, have no break light at all but all lights come on with light switch. the fuse I found to keep blowing out is the stop/HZ The flasher unit located in the fuse box has been changed, Theres a short somewhere Thanks again Carlos OverBoardProject 10-09-2004, 01:51 PM First check the bulbs on the none working side, then check the grounds busa_4 10-09-2004, 09:43 PM i have seen this happen. the cause was 1 filament in the bulb blew and it is touching the other filiment in the bulb. check your bulbs, check your brake light switch, and check you hazard relay. if all these are good, its time to break out the wiring diagram. CarlosH1 10-10-2004, 08:24 AM 1989 CHEVROLET TRUCK S10 2WD 4 Cylinders 151 E 2.5L TBI Hello Thank you for your reply and your welcome advice OverBoardProject and busa_4 I appreciate it and it will be on my list of things to check today. Fireplug 10-10-2004, 07:52 PM Well if it all started AFTER you did the clutch work look for a pinched wire under the truck. It is a power wire shorted to ground Fireplug OverBoardProject 10-10-2004, 10:32 PM If it was a pinched wire the fuse would have probably blown. I've often seen cars coming in with electrical problems after something like a clutch job... thinking that it was a pinched wire. It's always been something un-related, usually something simple like a bulb. Although every job is different, and it might be a pinched wire, where the fuse just didn't blow CarlosH1 10-11-2004, 03:15 PM 1989 CHEVROLET TRUCK S10 2WD 4 Cylinders 151 E 2.5L TBI Hello again Just want to thank you all for taking the time to reply and sharing your information on this type of problem, I passed this info to my friend that is working on my truck and it seems that it was if I understood correctly a group of wire's that were smashed against a sharp object under the truck , Hmm Now how did that happen? Anyway thank you for helping resolve my issue Carlos Fireplug 10-11-2004, 04:26 PM Overboard in the post they said it blows a fuse Fireplug Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
