I have a GSR stock with a turbo set up. My boost level is set to 7 PSI. I was reading other threads that stated stock internals can handle up to 9 PSI. I want increase the boost level to 9 PSI, what do I need to do?

What you need to do is get a boost controller and then you need to get your car re-tunned.

it depends on what your setup is...do you have an internal wastegate or external. all you need to do is get a manual boost controller and you can tune your boost level. you have a boost gauge...right?

stop thinking of psi number as to what the stock internals can handle. a stock gsr block and handle 300whp reliable.

now you want to turn up the boost, is your car tuned for it ? what management are you using ?

like chix said but i would get the car tuned first before the boost controller because if you get the bc first you might be tempted to turn up the boost before you tune it, or install it at the same time

I have a External Wastegate and I do have a gauge. I am using the Vortech FMU. I was thinking of getting the Apex AVC-R or are there better ones?

avc-r is preatty expensive, its defently a great boost controller! no doubt about it. its major feature is the rpm staged boost. great for traction off the line with fwd. my personal favoret is profec-b. for the $ its all most people need. i run a manual boost controller with a bleedoff nut. it was $20, you can make them from "home depot" for $3-5.

if you want to spend the $ for a boost controller go ahead. or you can invest that extra $ somwhere else.

Instead of wasting 400+ bucks on an AVCR, run hondata/uberdata + bigger injectors and a fuel pump. I wouldn't push past 7 psi on a silly FMU setup.

or you can push past 9 psi and give us your results afterwards ;) let us know how far you get.
