I have heard that urethane is the way to go w/ a body kit becaseu it doesn't crack like fiberglass, i looked at the wingswet avenger kit for a civic does anyone know anything about it and is there even a really big differance b/w FG and Urethane?

the big difference between fiberglass and urethane is what you mentioned, durability. Urethane isn't going to crack like fiberglass if run into a curb or something, unless you hit it hard. But it will start to sag after a while and paint starts to fade a bit faster on urethane than it does on fiberglass. Fiberglass is something that is repairable and moldable, so if you do get a crack, a body shop can fix it and if you have some insane idea and want to rework the kit, it's completely possible. Not so with urethane. It's completely up to you, these days companies have come up with ways to strengthen fiberglass, but still not as strong as urethane.

what would be better the ABS Plastic or the Urethane. I have heard of ABS but do not know anything on it quality.

why not leave the exterior stock and make it faster?

I bought a spoiler off EBay that was ABS plastic and it is light and is pretty durable.

i know a lot of lips are made out of ABS, but full kits like the WW and Erebuni are usually either fiberglass or urethane

I say fiberglass. You can repair it easily and paint will stick better and last longer than on urethane. The urethane also shakes and flexes while youre driving and makes it look fake and ugly. Better yet, get a simple CF lip and use the rest to get some performance parts.(intake or headers are possible with the money you save.)

Ricochet- IF everyone wanted their cars like you do everyone would be driving around stock cars with engine swaps and turbochargers...nothing would be different. Everyone has different tastes on what they like. Most of your comments have been pointless lately on issues like this one. If i had a good enough paying job to save up for a brand new engine i would.. but i dont even have a job right now cuz of football... so i decided to get some 17" wheels that you shitted on me for.

I have ABS plastic mugen lips on my car that are light and pretty nice however not sure if id get a body kit made out of that as i question the quality?

BTW: i dont even like bodykits but instead of saying "bodykits are gay, keep it stock" approach i decided to somewhat give useful information.

That would be badass, and maybe then Civics wouldn't get such a bad rap..

No, you asked why they are rubbing and my answer was simple.. Just like the sky being blue and grass green, 17's will rub on our cars.
