My 95 grand cherokee laredo has trouble starting...

I have tested the old battery and it needed to be changed and i have done that. It still has trouble starting... could it be the spark plugs? any clue?

My '97 Grand Cherokee starts 99% of the time then suddenly it cranks but will not start. I will get it started then it will run fine for months then it will not start all of a sudden! This vehicle has a 4.0 straight 6. I know this is not any help but if anyone knows of what causes this let me know.

I got in the interweb to find out jeep grand cherokee starting problems, I have a 1996 6 cylinders, all of a sudden while running, it stopped the first time, it cranks but it does not start, after aprox. 10-15 minutes it starts again, but stops when I stop at red light after minutes working while driving, now at home I started every day, and at a parking position, stops aprox 10 minutes after, I changed the battery, cables, changed the fuel pump but still does not work. I bought the hanes automotive repair manual, Checked the manual codes, came out as 12 and 11, but it relates to crankshaft, camshaft, PCM, Many automotive electirians, fuel injetion mechanics and others have checked it, nono came with the answer, I would really apreciate any opinion of probable fix. Thanks

Code 12 is the battery having been disconnected within the last 50 Key-on cycles.
Code 11 is:
No crank reference signal detected during engine cranking. Intermittent loss of either camshaft or crankshaft position sensor.

A bad crankshaft or camshaft sensor can cause starting and stalling problems.

For the original poster, check for fault codes.

Intermittent starting problems are difficult to diagnose, especially when no other symptoms are present and without fault codes.

Sorry I hadn´t answered before, It was the crankshaft position sensor, at this moment the JGC is running smooth, thanks for the advise!!!
