When I bought it, it ran great, everything worked, no problems at all, put a system in it, no mishaps, went to tighten the + cable and accidentally touched the - post with the wrench (it was EXTREMELY early for me), blew main fuse under the hood, replaced fuse, put battery cables back on, popped it again, took off alternator cable put new fuse in, put cables back on, no pop, but now when I turn the key on the wipers stay on (even when I turn them off), the fan goes constantly, and it squeals when it tries to start, so I figure it's the EEC (or ECU, whatever you want to call it), take it out, examine it, it looks perfect..no signs of burning or broken connections, any ideas?

oh and now, when I push the clutch pedal in, it tries to start the car, even if the key is off.....

well it's not the EEC, it does the same thing without the ECU in........maybe a relay? wiring harness? ANYONE!?

found out that the battery was in backwards, as in the red cable is negative on the battery and black is positive on battery....Going to a mechanic in a few hours, find out what it is then, it tries to start with clutch pushed in, without keys, fuel cutoff light won't go off, even though I reset the switch, fan comes on with key, or when clutch is pushed in, this oughtta be interesting...

Well, harness was fried beyond repair, way too much to fix, so I bought a '96 Tracer, same 1.9 (in most ways as far as I can tell) 5 speed also, using the 91 for a parts car.....
